Experience and Skills

I am a qualified counsellor experienced in providing thorough and compassionate support to those navigating through life’s issues. I am registered with the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).

My training was in psychodynamic and person-centred counselling; being rooted in these approaches means I take a specific interest in how your past informs your present experience, and that I will ensure you are an active and empowered participant in your own counselling journey.

The way I work currently is pluralistic, meaning I subscribe to no set approach, but rather am continually expanding my approach to enable me to offer flexible and informed support. I have completed training in compassion focused therapy and bereavement care, along with child and and adult safeguarding. I have previously worked with REMA counselling in London, and more recently I have been working in Birmingham providing end-of-life and bereavement counselling.

You, and the issues you face, are distinct and unique, this is why counselling is ultimately a relational process; I make it a priority to get to know and understand each person I work alongside to cultivate a space of depth, safety and growth.
